Jimmy:
Hello and welcome to “Which One's Real?”. Today our contestant is Arthur G. Fovargue the Third. So Art, are you ready for today's game?
Art:
I think so Jimmy.
Jimmy:
Today you job will be to tell us - “Which One's Real?”. You have six questions to ask, then 60 seconds to determine which one's the real one. Now it's time for our guest's to arrive. Art, one of theses is the real Merry Christmas. Is it Mary number 1?
Mary1:
Hi! My name's Mary, and I'm the real Merry Christmas.
Jimmy:
Mary number 2?
Mary2:
Hi! My name's Mary, and I'm the real Merry Christmas.
Jimmy:
Or Mary number 3?
Mary3:
Hi! My name's Mary, and I'm the real Merry Christmas.
Art:
Alright let's start. Mary number 1 – what makes a Christmas Merry?
Mary1:
It's all the presents I get, and all the parties I go to. Stuff like that. Last year I got so many presents. It was probably the best Christmas I've had so far. You want to hear what I got?
Art:
Uh, no thanks. Mary number 3, do you think having a Merry Christmas is determined by the gifts you get?
Mary3:
Not really, I'd say it's not about gifts at all. It about friends and family you know it's just the Christmas spirit.
Art:
Mary number 2 do you agree with Mary number 1 or Mary number 3?
Mary2:
I don't agree with either, in fact I'd say that...
Jimmy:
I'm sorry Mary number 2, but you can oly answer the question Art asks. You can't say anything else. Sorry Art.
Art:
All right, let's see, Mary number 1 – I guess what you're saying is that, whether or not you have a Merry Christmas depends on whether or not you get what you want, and whether or not you have fun.
Mary1:
Well, yes, that's what's important right?
Art:
I'm not too sure about that. Mary number 3, what you're saying is that the joy of Christmas is determined by the people you're with, it's basically just a feeling that comes from doing things together.
Mary3:
I never thought of it like that, but I guess you're right.
Art:
Now Mary number 2, What do you think makes a Merry Christmas?
Mary2:
It's not what – it's Who. God sent a gift that first Christmas – His Son, Jesus. He's the one who makes Christmas Merry!
Art:
Wait so you're saying...
Jimmy:
Oh, I'm sorry Art, but you've already used up you six questions. Now you have 60 seconds to determine which Mary is the real Merry Christmas.
Art:
If Mary number one is the real Merry Christmas, the joy of Christmas comes from the gifts I receive, the parties I go to, and the fun I have. That means that some people can't have a Merry Christmas, because not everyone can get presents or go to parties. That just doesn't seem right. Now if Mary number 3 is the real Merry Christmas then the joy of Christmas comes from being with friends and family. That's great but not everybody can be with friends and family – that doesn't seem right either. If Mary number 2 is the real Merry Christmas, then the Joy of Christmas comes from God's gift, Jesus. But did God give His gift to everyone? Oh, which one is the real Merry Christmas? Wait! What was it that the angles said to the shepherds? Something about “great joy which shall be to all people.” All people. Everyone can have a Merry Christmas, as long as they accept God's gift.
Jimmy:
All right Art. Your time is up. Which one is the real Merry Christmas.
Art:
I believe it's Mary number 2.
Jimmy:
Well let's see if your right. Will the real Merry Christmas, please stand up?
(Mary number 2 stands up)
Jimmy:
Congratulations Art. And thanks for playing, “Which One's Real?”. See you next time on “Which One's Real?”.
